Yes, they did actually stay quite long. Longer than I expected.

But the sad/funny thing is, now that they are gone, it is as if the whole thing never happened. No one care any more and it had no lasting impact (at least that I can see).

It’s Friday and the F1 week-end has officially begun. For those interested in seeing fast cars, Peel Street, between St-Catherine and de Maisonneuve is also closed, and different types of cars will be on display different days. I think at some point the street is invaded with Ferraris, it’s really impressive to see.

We were at the show and it was really amazing: the energy of the crowd was just crazy. And the musicians and dancers M.I.A was with really helped to lift the show to higher levels. Especially the opening act, Rye Rye, a rapper I had never heard of before, she was really good, she had an amazing stage presence and danced in a crazy-lively manner.

Show was sold out, that’s amazing. But I had to buy the tickets form the scalper: I hate doing that, but at least I got them for only 20$ a pop. You have to bargain hard with these guys.

Obviously, the show was amazing, and I liked the venue. First time there, but it is nice and small and cozy, and you see the band well.

I was in Quebec city this past week-end, for the last 2 days of the Carnival, and yes, I still maintain that the Winter Carnival in Quebec City can't really hold-up against the carnival in Rio. The only thing that is saving the carnival is the "Bain de Neige" (snow bath) event, as seen in pictures bellow:

It was so cold last week-end, I doubt anyone was crazy enough to brave the weather and go to Igloofest. Or maybe some people were indeed crazy enough.
